What The Network One are doing in China

Transparency

thenetworkone – who pays?

We believe it is in everyone’s interests that clients understand clearly how suppliers are remunerated. In this we hope to set an example through total transparency in our own business dealings. Our revenue comes from three sources.

Time based management fees:

If clients contract thenetworkone to manage and coordinate their communications activities, or provide consultancy advice, these fees cover the compensation due to the person providing the services, plus a contribution to overhead and profit. They are quoted in advance but monitored and periodically re-evaluated. They may be value-based or calculated using an industry standard FTE model.

Commission received from agencies and consultants:

Commission received from agencies and consultancies to which we introduce client business. We charge the same commission to all agencies, to ensure objectivity in our recommendations: 7% of the fee or commission income which they derive from clients we introduce. Normally this is for the first year of activity, although the period may be extended if we continue to provide support and assistance to the agency. This replaces the investment agencies normally make in finding new business themselves, and still allows them to make a reasonable profit: we do not except or accept, that our commission is passed on to clients over and above the agenciies’ normal published fees. To individuals and consultancy companies we charge between 7% and 20% depending on the marginal cost in their field of activity. This income covers the cost of maintaining our database of agencies and suppliers, plus our travel and associated costs in visiting and evaluating new agencies and suppliers and periodically re-evaluating existing ones.

Membership subscriptions:

We charge a fee each year to carefully selected agencies which choose to license our trademarks and materials for their own marketing activity; and which call on the services of our international team to support their new business efforts. Terms and conditions for member agencies are also published on this website. This income covers the cost of central coordination team and office in London.
